Submissions

Dance videos are the heart of OnlyDancers contests, but they don't live on our platform. Instead, videos are hosted on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, where dancers own their content.

Why We Don't Host Videos

circle-info

OnlyDancers keeps copyright responsibility where it belongs: with the platforms that dancers naturally use. This approach gives dancers full control over their content and removes copyright complexity from our system.

By leveraging YouTube Shorts, TikTok uploads, and Instagram Reels, dancers can:

  • Upload once and reach multiple audiences

  • Keep their submission as part of their creator profile

  • Use their own accounts for long-term discoverability

  • Avoid re-uploading content to a third platform

How to Submit a Video

Each contest page on OnlyDancers includes step-by-step instructions for:

  1. Recording your dance video

  2. Trimming it to platform length limits

  3. Uploading to YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram

  4. Adding the required contest description to your upload

Required Description Text

Your video upload must include the exact description text provided on the contest page. This text:

  • Links back to OnlyDancers for tracking eligibility

  • Identifies which campaign you're entering

  • Ensures your submission is recognized by our system

External Analytics

OnlyDancers pulls supplementary performance data (views, engagement, likes) from YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram APIs. This data helps judges evaluate submissions and provides dancers with visibility into how their content performs across platforms.

Your analytics remain yours, hosted on your creator account, never copied or stored permanently on OnlyDancers servers.
